Best time to visit Kanyakumari

Kanyakumari enjoys a reasonably pleasant climate throughout the year, since its located next to the sea. However the best time to visit Kanyakumari is considered to be between the months of October to March.

In April and May, the weather in Kanyakumari can get a bit too hot because of the summer, so this may not be the best time to visit the place. However if you dont mind the heat of the sun, or are used to it, then Apr-May months are not such a bad time to visit Kanyakumari.

The Jun-Jul-Aug months are better to avoid, especially the Jul and Aug when the rains in Kanyakumari are quite heavy. In these months the climate may not be very suitable for sight-seeing in and around Kanyakumari. Also if the waters are rough, you may not be able to ferry over to the rock islands having the Vivekananda Rock memorial, and the Thiruvalluvar statue.

Hence the best time to visit Kanyakumari the southernmost tip of India, is Oct to March.
